We all have 24 hours in a day. Within that time frame, we set out to take care of so many things on our “to do” list.
In this day and age, we all have so much on our plate with having tasks and commitments with family, friends, achieving work goals, and in keeping up with our social calendars.
We know it is so common for moms to juggle so many commitments and that those responsibilities somehow tend to rule over and take charge of our lives instead of us having control over them. We find ourselves working longer and harder these days. Balancing all those things within our 24 hours given is an art that we all have to learn and to apply wisely.
The decisions we make on how we choose to balance our lives each day, however, does impact somehow upon those around us, whether they are our children, spouse, friends, etc. Our society tells us to go, go, go, yet we must remember to take some time for ourselves to pause and reflect on the blessings that we already have and for which we are truly grateful.
The work will always be there, however, time spent with loved ones who are so important and preciously dear to heart may not.
A very recent personal experience just brought this to my attention and find this message to be timely shared. I visited a relative the other night in the hospital and found that to have been an eye-opening time to reflect on past relationships with family and friends. Reminiscent of times of the past as it was; self evaluating for the future it can be.
I think many of us do know this, although we find ourselves easily getting wrapped up in the daily activities each day. Somehow we need to be reminded of having times of reflecting upon what are our real priorities.
As we are in a season with love in our hearts and minds with Valentine’s upon us, let us all make that effort to Take Time to Stop and Smell the Roses, for the people in our lives are indeed blessings from above.
Have a blessed day!
