Okay, so we are now in the New Year 2011. With everyone saying goodbye to 2010 and welcome to 2011, what New Year’s Resolutions do we have or will add on to our list? What changes are we going to make?
As many are talking about getting a fresh new start, a clean slate, or turning a new leaf, what can we say about what will affect what we do regarding our finances, health and fitness objectives, relationships, and even our spiritual growth?
What approach are we going to take in each of those areas of our lives? If we want to see improved changes, we have to do things differently. And what an opportune time that we have now as we begin a New Year. As we have heard it before, insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results.
If Too Many New Year’s Resolutions Are On The List, Choose One
As the brand New Year 2011 is now upon us, I want to share about one appointment I had this week involving a discussion of more exercise or having a fitness regimen to be included in this New Year. I have always been into health and nutrition especially with Herbalife, however, after stating in our discussion that I lost my fitness membership due to its closing of doors awhile ago, I never did find another fitness center or program to replace that so-called exclusive exercise facility that was originally understood and designed as a lifetime membership. That, on a side note, is just an example that you can never tell what each day may bring.
Sure it would have been nice to maintain a membership like what I had for a number of years, but while some long-standing programs fold, new ones are created. What has been gaining interest lately is of a newer dancing exercise trend called Zumba. Perhaps it brings to mind of all the energy and
exhilaration of those die-hard dancing of years past. It possibly is because it stirs up that memory chord of that repetitive and stimulating rhythm and beat. Perhaps it brings back the drive of energy where you are ready for an energizing breakthrough of rote.
Regardless, and with the number of resolutions that are on the list for this New Year 2011, if ever you come to a point of becoming overwhelmed, focusing on one New Year’s resolution and taking action can make a difference. It is quite funny though, how certain things captivate our attention.
In any event, knowing the time is right to begin afresh is now upon us. Zumba may be that choice to make a change with exercise and fitness, and it is certainly something to check into.
I certainly am looking forward to making this New Year’s resolution to incorporate more fun and fitness into life. Let us see where this will go while keeping in mind to just do it.
An appropriate message is written for us in Isaiah 43:18-19:
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!
Have a wonderful and Happy New Year of brand new beginnings! As always, please comment below, retweet and share with others too.

Hi Nelly,
Great point about being overwhelmed and putting too much pressure on ourselves with resolutions! I know I’ve done it to myself in the past. I’m with you and only concentrating on 1 or 2 this year!
Thanks for the reminder and I hope you have a great 2011.

Thanks Richard,
I know we can lose the focus after awhile and do have to remember what is most important and also realistic to carry out.
Have a great New Year too.
Aloha,
Nelly

Hi Nelly!
Thanks for inviting me to your Blog…from my Blog.
I agree, it’s much better to pick 1 thing & follow through with it, than to be overwhelmed with trying to accomplish 5 things & watching them ALL sail out the window!!
Have a highly inspired day…your tribal friend Steven Suchar

Hi Steven,
Nice to see you and glad that you came to visit and comment. Yes, although we do have good intentions to make alot of changes, we do have to remember to stay focused on the one on which we are the most serious.
Thanks again for stopping by.
